Popular Post Villan_of_oz Posted December 10, 2016 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted December 10, 2016 I dont care if Jack spent the first 85 minutes taking candy from a baby. When a lad pops up in the 88th minute and from 20 yards out bangs one into the top right corner.... (drumroll) you enjoy the moment and thats it. Seeing that goal just eroded a part of the last 5 years for me. Whatever you do, please dont analyse the game too much or be too harsh on anyone. Enjoy the goal. Enjoy the win. Enjoy the feeling. I think we as villa fans have become somewhat lost in how to enjoy football over the last 5 years. We pick apart everything in some morbid depression instead of watching that goal 643 times (that's my plan) The best way to sum up all my feelings is...... I feel adequately romantically nourished
Johnnyp
He needs to back himself more from outside the box, can clearly strike a good ball. Should be peppering a very nervous/bereft of confidence Norwich goal on Tuesday.
Popular Post Brumerican
We have won four home games on the bounce . After the past 5 years I don't see how anybody could not be happy after that winning goal today . Even Morrissey would be happy with that.

Im guessing 2009 or earlier.

Anonymous for most of the game. Not saying he's better than ayew but he really isn't as influential as he should be. I could not disagree with this more. I thought he was heavily involved all through the game as the number of times he was fouled is testament to. Man of the match for me. Popular Post OutByEaster? Zatman
cracking goal and criticism is absurd at moment, I think I mentioned here before but we havent had a maverick player since Merson that can change a game in an instant, reminds me of that Merson goal vs Everton. nothing happened but a bit of magic changed the game
blunther
I've always been a doubter, but he's really won me over the last few games. Good for him!
TrentVilla Posted December 11, 2016 Moderator Share Posted December 11, 2016 Nice bit of management from Bruce post game, just giving him another little pointed reminder about his behaviour and what is expected of him.

Absolutely - to paraphrase: he's making the headlines on the back page, not the front page and that's the way it should stay. When I saw Bruce saying that I felt really hopeful that we finally have a manager with the ability and wisdom to get the best out of Jack.

Or the nerve to do something about it if we don't.

Grealish must have been gutted, first thing on his mind would have been a nice celebratory drink - well done Bruce, probably takes one who knows one, so to say....
