villa4europe
I think he is ready for roles like today, he's good on the ball, composed, not his fault there's hardly ever a pass on, and off the ball he might not be the best when the opposition has it but at least when we have it he moves and looks for space and gives other players an option

Popular Post CrackpotForeigner
Hell, I tuned in to the Grealish thread expecting more like universal praise for the kid. I thought he was really good. Every time he got the ball he did something positive with it. I hope he has it in him to turn good performances into heroic ones, but he was hardly to blame for the equaliser, he hit the target himself, and was a safe pair of feet in possession, which is just what you need to have coming off the bench.

Guest
Disappointed in Jack today. He didnt work hard enough for mine. Maybe a little cocky at the moment? He needs to increase his work rate. I can see why Lambert dropped him from the squad.. No, not cocky. If an international like Sanchez struggles to adapt, a young player certainly will. It will come with more game time. Raymond
Movement without the ball was bad. Looked like he did not know where he was supposed to be several times.
romavillan Posted November 29, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted November 29, 2014 He is not ready for the PL is he? No. I'd say he is, or more that actually now he needs games at this level to become ready for it if you know what I mean. I've criticised his off the ball work as does Raymond above but he looks very at ease with the ball at his feet in a way you can't teach, technically I'd say he's got the lot. VillanousOne
I thought he did fine, looked tidy and composed - maybe a little uncertain of where to play at times. No idea why people are saying he's not ready?
penguin
Would have liked to see him harass the opposition more off the ball, did just seem to stand there when we didn't have possession. Not sure what the plan was though as he may have been told to stay in space, who knows.

Butterfingers
Needs to become more physical If he's good enough, he needs to be strong enough. Sid Cowans was 9.5 stone when he first played in the 1st team & that was back when the game was far more physical. Let us down today when we didn't have the ball, defending a lead. Tomaszk
I'd start him ahead of Weimann every single day of the week.
Rob182
I'd start him ahead of Weimann every single day of the week.I wouldn't. What you lose in ability, Weimann makes up for with workrate. (Much, much, much more workrate, in fact).
