Stevo985 Posted August 3, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted August 3, 2020 Continuing to work my way through Apple TV+'s offerings. Defending Jacob seems very promising after 3 episodes. "Mythic Quest" on the other hand is about as funny as dick cancer. 3 episodes of that down and I don't think I've even raised a smile yet. It's rubbish. Troglodyte Posted August 3, 2020 VT Supporter Share Posted August 3, 2020 Just finished the first season of Ozark. Wasn't gripped at first but once it got into its stride I enjoyed it a lot more. Looking forward to S2 now, which from what I've heard may be better still?

Despite Chris Evans' character doing things that really annoy me. They seem like very stupid things to do for an assistant DA But it's a good show it seems

The only thing I found boring was the lesbian storyline. And I can't believe I just typed that I liked "The Swedes". Reminded my of @Pelle and his buddies when they come over to B6 1

S2 is good, but it does drift a little bit towards the end, then ramps up the quality again. S3 is some of the best TV you’ll see. Top tier.

It’s not as good as Lillehammer (also on Netflix) although has the same quirky Nordic humour (as well as several cast members) IMO it shouldn’t be anywhere near a list containing Derry Girls, The Office (US) or What We Do In The Shadows but it’s ok. Popular Post mikeyp102
Just finished Series 2 of Umbrella Academy, enjoyed it blasted through it. Some clever plot twists. Also agree about the lesbian storyline, but then I don’t think Ellen Page is that good an actor. However, Robert Sheehan is excellent, has that role down to a tee. Then the ultimate performance is Aidan Gallagher as Number 5. Wow. This is a 16 yr old kid, playing the role of a 57 yr old, in a kids body. Bossing around 30 something’s and it has gravitas. He owns every scene. Spoiler Enjoy Ben and Diego play off, and that will be missed from series 3. But interesting to see this “new” Ben and to find out how the timeline got changed? I’m guessing Lila has something to do with it.
