Charlie Work is the best 30 mins of TV ever. It's great but I'd love to volley Dennis in the jaw. He ruins some episodes for me.

Davkaus
Agreed about it being rewatchable, one of the very few modern sitcoms I can watch repeatedly. My current favourite is "McPoyle vs. Ponderosa: The Trial of the Century". Jack losing his hands and coming back with them duct taped on gets me every time.
Xela
Caught up on Blacklist - its a decent show, not a classic by any means Thinking of blitzing through Westworld now... seems to have got much better as the series has progressed?
sne
Looking at the Westworld Wiki it says the story was written to run for as long as 5 seasons. Not sure why, but I gotten in my mind I read it was a 1 season show that just got renewed. This is Imo good new as those show usually never reach the heights of the first seasons as that was the story they wanted to tell, and the following seasons are just hastily scribbled together. Either a new story in the same "universe" like True Detective, or a forced continuation of the story like countless other series. Westworld could be epic, or at least very good over a few seasons more if they have a clear idea of the story.

You're supposed to hate Dennis . That's the point .They have been drip feeding the fact that he's a rapist from the beginning.

For what it's worth he's my favourite character in the show and Glenn Howerton is the best actor in the cast. He's fantastic. I love how mental and creepy he is.
Designer1 Posted December 6, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted December 6, 2016 When I first started watching I made the mistake of looking for redeeming features amongst the group. Wasn't until three episodes or so in that I realised they don't have any and that's the point. It's brilliant comedy.

I think most are made with enough material for 1-2 seasons as shows get cancelled easily enough .....will be interesting if they can keep the quality up or string out the thing like lost ....where in the final episode it turns out to be a VR computer game or something
villa4europe
Might go the same as Boardwalk empire, I imagine the production costs are massive so at some point it might not be financially viable that said Netflix at the moment has loads of content and HBO are currently winding down the leftovers and game of thrones, they scrapped vinyl, unless they resurrect true detective then the Young pope and westworld are the only established drama series they have that could have legs going in to 2019, their next one is the deuce which sounds like vinyl but with the porn industry in 70s New York
PieFacE Posted December 6, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) One of my favourite moments in Sunny is the high school reunion when they do the dance I must have watched it all so many times. The DENNIS system is a class too. And the invention of the Dayman song. Westworld, incredible ending. My favourite season atm. mikeyp102
So apparently westworld season 2 won't be out until 2018... Will have to binge watch again prior to it starting to get back up to speed.. Appreciate I'm ridiculously late to this (Last year with GOT was the first proper series I've watched all the way, so using that as an excuse), but got told today about Deadwood. Just watched first episode, seems decent, so that's my next hit for a few weeks.
Ginko
Loved the finale of Westworld and it played out how I hoped it would. No idea what the second season will be about but... Spoiler Do we think Ford is really dead or he's a host? Or perhaps he's alive and has a host as a sort of clone and the host was the one that Delores shot? We also didn't see The MiB/William die as far as I recall, he was just shot before smiling creepily, so will he be back do we think? I guess the maze was just a metaphor for the hosts to gain complete sentience, so the MiB got to the centre of it too, technically, by witnessing it happen I guess. You'd think he'd want to stick around to see how it plays out. Not sure what's in store for Maeve next, assume she wants to back for her daughter, and let's not forget about the ugly Hemsworth brother's head of security. We didn't see him die so presumably he'll be back. Likewise we didn't see Elsie die, just getting choked out, though I think from Bernard's remembering we're supposed to think he did her in. Still lots of questions, which ain't nothing but a good thing. Needs more Steven Ogg next season

Ginko
Dennis isn't as obviously funny as the rest of the characters who are essentially pretty dumb in comparison to him (though Dennis is nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is). He's the de facto leader and comes up with most of the schemes. He's the closest thing to a straight man in the comedic partnership with the rest of the gang, he's usually reacting to their buffoonery. Where he really shines is his arrogance and god-complex, not to mention the fact he's creepy as shit and a sex fiend. The whole thing with 'the implication' is some of the funniest and darkest stuff on the show; I love it.

Its like Game of Thrones where they already have the whole series arc roughly planned out across several seasons.
