Maradona10
What massive money names could City sign? A genuine question. Any decent player from the World Cup will be a target.
Rob182
I think City will spend more than £200m this summer, their current crop didn't make fourth and they aren't aiming at fourth, they'll be aiming to get into the title race. Don't underestimate their ambition. But who will they bring in? They can't bring in CL quality players because they'll struggle to attract them. Their strike force consists of Teves, Adebayor, Bellamy, Santa Cruz, Robinho - they're not going to find many players better than Teves, Adebayor and, at times, Bellamy. And if they do a full revamp then, as I've said in numerous threads, they'll have the problem of the squad gelling together like they have this year. I think the only way they can realistically improve is by buying 3 or 4 players to replace people in their current squad who are either unhappy or haven't impressed. (Replacing Santa Cruz/ Robinho/ some of their defence).. And if they do that then they're not going to have a squad too dissimilar to this years. Mr_Dogg
Man City owners said last seasons splurge won't happen again, it was a once off, I think they may sign 2 or 3 biggish players, but 200m would buy a new team.
Shillzz
Man city will still be operating within the realms of reality. Yes I expect them to bid for the Liverpool crown jewell but there'll still be a place in their team for the likes of Tevez without a doubt. VillaChris
It's a bit of a catch 22 for Man. City, sign more players particularly attacking and those already at the club in those positions will want to leave. And we've seen with us signing Dunney, those players leaving will go to rival clubs here and abroad and will challenge City. I think the one area of the team where they're really weak is in defence so major money needs to go there imo.

philwhitters
What about a relative gamble on Berbatov rumours are he's available for 12m. Imagine Gabby running onto all his flicks etc. he hasn't scored that much, but he doesn't give the ball away and starts an awful lot of moves. IN Berbatov - 12m Fletcher - 3 - 5m RB Clyne? - 3m Benyoun if available - 5m Defensive mid ?? - 6m Poss young LB behind Warnock - 3m Spend 32 - 34m OUT Carew - 4m Heskey - 3m Sidwell - 3-4m Osbourne - 1m Salifou - give him away. Beye - 1m Shorey - 3m Harewood - 0 15-16m IN Net spend 16 - 19m

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Just like most managers then. It doesn't matter when the window opens, it's effectively (not sure if it's officially?) open as soon as the Season ends.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
In that case we should scout any players that are nearing the end of their contracts, then offer them more money when their current club least expects it
