Avfc96
Cracking knock from Salt, very good bowling from Rashid. That was also Bairstow's best knock in a International T20 in quite a few years.
Milfner
Disappointing loss for England, really should've got over the line there. Do think SA got away with it big time, whole game turned on Livingstone not clearing the boundary on a full toss and getting caught. Frustrating.
veloman
Warks top of Blast League (at the moment). Wonder how long before Sam Hain is linked to Surrey !!
Milfner
Jacob Bethell is going to be so special. Two games in two days, both match winning knocks. An incredible fielder too, and can bowl a bit as well. Don't think it'll be long before he's in the England set up.

But this current England set-up will probably keep selecting Moeen for the next 10 years. Just look at how good Hain has been for years and years and his only reward was a few ODI's against a very very poor Ireland side.
tonyh29
Dan Lawrence managed to score 38 runs of an over that contained a dot ball today v Worcester 5 sixes off the first 5 balls followed by a 4 +1 off a wide , with another wide and the dot ball to finally finish the over

Still impressive, mind.
bannedfromHandV
Cricket shooting itself in the foot again with its archaic rigidity. Looking very possible the England game could be rained off, a World Cup T20 semi final and because there’s no reserve day set aside, India would go through on virtue of having done better in the preceding group games. Oh and the other semi final, the day before does have a reserve day in case of rain etc . Ridiculous and would be a really sour ending should it come to pass.

Similar one today .. 43 coming off the over bowled by Ollie Robinson Only two 6's in it though so not as impressive as the Lawrence 38 over

It's ridiculous and all geared up for tv money. It just favours India. They don't even hide it really. clicky clicky article here The T20 World Cup semi-finals are a stitch-up to favour India Controversy surrounds England playing India in Guyana, with heavy rain and burglaries 'rife' at hotels - but India were guaranteed the location in advance The decision to guarantee India the Guyana semi-final weeks in advance because it was allocated the 10.30am local start time – evening prime-time for TV audiences on the sub-continent – has also drawn much ire and added to the organisational difficulties.
imavillan
Semi final day v India.... quite excited for this one and hopeful we can get some play between the showers and storms even if it's reduced overs fingers crossed the showers miss the ground BBC Weather forecast
fightoffyour Posted June 27 VT Supporter Share Posted June 27 Just read that if the match was rained off then India would go through to the final because they won their group. This sport man. Not even a day in the calendar for a SF?

bannedfromHandV
If England can get 5 overs in on D/L you’d think they’re in a decent position currently
bannedfromHandV
Game back on, this could get very interesting dependent on the weather forecast for the next couple of hours. India may and probably should go for it now, they’ll be conscious of England potentially getting 5 overs in at some point and sending in a Livingstone to open the batting, not that Salt and Buttler aren’t capable of smashing it around too. Tricky pitch for really ‘going for it’ through and could see India lose wickets quickly, conundrum.
sidcow Posted June 27 VT Supporter Share Posted June 27 England going out of this tournament with their tail between their legs. Worse than the bloody football players. They've been flat track bully's and lost to anyone half decent all tournament.
tonyh29
Took the wrong Curran brother , Tom is probably the best t20 player in England currently Time for a complete rebuild with the white ball setup
lapal_fan
This is Mo's last England cap. Bairstow will probably want to continue, but I doubt he'll get picked again. Jos will remain captain. I think that'll be about the largest changes we see. Edited June 27 by lapal_fan
tom_avfc
Lost to India and Australia, the top 2 teams in the world. Lost to South Africa the 5th ranked side in the world and beat West Indies the 4th ranked side in the world. Reaching the semis is about where we should be. In reality India are miles better than everybody else and then there’s a cluster of teams that could all beat each other on their day. The bed wetting after a no result with Scotland was pretty embarrassing in hind sight.
