Root out for under 100 too which is a shame. Means instead ofa huge last hour its a rebuild with two new batters. We need 100+ overs to get Australia out however on this surface so our time is valuable

Calm down.  Surely you're aware of the ever impending threat of a spectacular England batting collapse?

This England team has a stronger mentality of teams past. The test results speak for themselves. Sure they're a bit cocksure at times, but so were the West Indies sides of the 70s and 80s and they won a lot more than they lost.

The BBC forecast is rain tmrw until about 2pm. But Saturday will be a complete washout, heavy rain all day long. And Sunday's showing every hour as showers (some thundery) and/or sunny intervals. So it's not looking good for us having enough time to win.  : <

If it was a normal starting time tomorrow, I would fancy us to win it in three days. Such is the momentum with England now. The Aussies are starting to doubt themselves, doubt always brings errors.

One of the things I've really liked in this Ashes is that we're now onto our 7th innings and none of them have been under 200! What an improvement! There have been so many times over the years when we had the typical disastrous spectacular collapse vs the Aussies, scoring less than 100, sometimes just 70 something or 60 something. 😑 But we haven't been even close to such miserable scores this time... (So far!) :s

And that's all about psychology more than it is talent, and it pisses me off that bigots like Michael Vaughan can't tilt his cap to the mental strength of this England team.

Looking at the forecast there may be 60 to 70 overs more play. For England to win they need to really go for it with the bat for the next 25 overs, get a 240+ lead then stick the Aussies in and have 40 odd overs to bowl them out. Seems unlikely though.
