sheepyvillian
If we end up winning this series, what an achievement that will be. And Michael Vaughan can go and feck himself.
fightoffyour Posted July 20, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted July 20, 2023 We need to rack up the bulk of our first innings runs today and possibly tomorrow morning so we can get bowling at them when it's overcast and before rain stops play, then have enough time left for the run chase. Should be a fun few sessions coming up. What an afternoon that was. Lack of a spinner already looking like a poor decision by them, and our batting lineup looks long with Ali scoring runs at 3. Milfner
178-1 from 25 overs in that session. 1
theunderstudy
You know what the biggest frustration is???? This is exactly what England needed to do at Lords. And instead they **** around and flapped at the short ball. This is the ruthlessness I've been aching to see against Australia. Respect their good balls, punish their bad balls and make Cummins panic in the field
OutByEaster? Posted July 20, 2023 Moderator Share Posted July 20, 2023 I think 650 runs over two innings wins us the test. Rain will be a danger - we need to keep pushing today.

sidcow Posted July 20, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted July 20, 2023 It's all set up. Please don't mess up England. These 2 continue after Tea then we can let fly. We'll lose wickets sure. Stokes needs a repeat of Lords. Get a big lead then Australia have to try and rescue the game in probably very tricky overcast and wet batting conditions over the weekend. Just need to pray there is enough dry spells to get some time in.

Doesn't look to be much in the wicket. Unless it gets overcast it's easy batting. The Ozzie's should have got 400 in their first innings.

theunderstudy
Australia just got saved a review. AND the Umpires reviewed Root themselves to see if he was out earlier. England may get called lucky but Australia have been helped a little bit too
robby b
This is nuts! When are we ever 265 for 2 (two hundred and sixty-five for two) against the Aussies?! (Answer: Not usually, that's for sure).
theunderstudy
Australia now moving fielders to try and stop the Roooop shot just need to keep grinding them down

theunderstudy
This is the Bazball everyone has been wanting to see. Positive and aggressive without being flappy and stupid. Australia look shellshocked

Rodders
We've been a bit more subdued than I expected but it's still effective, and kept everything moving. I think we'll seen a final hour smackaroonie once we get past their total
