PaulC
Yes England's day but as Dave said lets wait until England bat on it before we get carried away. Credit to Haddin and Johnson because without that partnership we'd have had them out for under 180. Now a 300 score seems likely and that keeps them in the game. Broad brilliant. Tremlett why oh why when you have two bowlers considerably quicker than him not playing. Edited November 21, 2013 by PaulC
Rodders
let's see how we bat, but assuming we knock out the last two for under 30 runs, we'll be able to start batting without too much pressure - which is good for Carberry on debut as well. A ton from Cook would be welcome though.
snowychap
I'll not judge, till both teams have batted, but you've got to say that was an almost perfect start for England. Yep, looking good so far but we won't know until we've batted.
Phumfeinz
Good old Aussies, you can always rely on them for a laugh. They're literally like a bunch of children. LALALALAALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALAALALALA
drat01
Watched the TV who used the Aus feed, with their commentators etc. By god they are a biased lot. Really poor sportsmanship etc
Risso
I just hope they don't stick on a decent total for the last wicket like they did in the 1st(?) test this summer.
stewiek2
Cook and Trott carrying on their pathetic form from the summer ashes. Carberry is impressing.
Jon
Collapsville. We need to get 100 or so ahead and cannot see that happening now at all. Looking like a loss.

Guest
Awful but not unexpected, we were poor in the summer but the Aussies were worse, they have stepped up and we have fallen back.
stewiek2
our batting has been questionable for a while now. Not hit 400 runs in the last 17 tests. Cook, Trott, KP, Prior off form for at least 9-12 months now, lower order incapable of hitting decent runs. Arrogance crept in as well in that period thinking they would just turn up and aussie and kiwis would roll over. So much pressure on the bowlers to deliver every time. Carberry looked good but Cook and Trott especially woefully out of form. On paper we should tonk these but as a batting side there are serious problems. I knew 295 wasn't as good as people thought as our battings been so poor this year. Bringing in Bresnan as night watchman in the summer shows a struggling batting side trying to slow the run rate down only adds to this.
