drat01 Posted August 1, 2013 Share Posted August 1, 2013 Been today, never been at a cricket match so hot, it was brutal at times. Aussies seemed to play a lot better than before and the pitch didn't do a great deal. Old Trafford is still somewhat lacking IMO. The travel to / from the train station to the ground was appalling, it was as though the 20,000 plus people came as a shock to Manchester authorities. Behind that temp stand they have a "fans village" - the lunacy today was that they put on a appearance by Gatting and Thompson at a stand that was the thinnest of walkways - resulting in gridlock with baking hot temps.
