dont_do_it_doug.
I want the G2 as a work phone for battery life reasons, it's just that stupid bloody button on the back putting me off. I can see it being incredibly frustrating. Experience? My other option is the Note 3, but I hear the battery isn't so hot?
The_Lions_Roar
Play music looks great on the n5 with the album artwork and the ability to skip track etc without actually unlocking the phone.
CVByrne
I've the note 3 and battery us excellent. Vastly superior to any previous phone I've owned. It's just a matter of turning things you don't use in settings and battery life goes up into never possible to run outta juice in a day.
The_Lions_Roar
Well the nexus 5 battery has lasted a day, I've got 32% left still.
mykeyb
Not sure about the colour....... Eh? Is that a case? If not then what's happened there? Its a vinyl skin, on XDA they have an excellent reputation.
mykeyb
Went to the Three store last night to get a microsim for the N5 and the lady in the shop cut my standard sized sim card down while I waited...........not heard of them doing that before. The_Lions_Roar
Its quicker for you, they are supposed to order one for you but you can buy cutters and do it yourself so doesn't make a difference really.

You will get used to the g2 button placement, missus has had hers for a week now and she is used to it already. You can't go wrong with the note 3 either. Both superb phones with superb battery's. Go and have a play with both in a store.
villarule123 Posted November 5, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 5, 2013 My contract is up in July next year, hopefully 4G contracts will be a lot cheaper then. Why would you get a 4G tariff with only 500mb data?
The_Lions_Roar
Look at three, they don't charge any extra for 4g. I pay £9.90 a month with 1gb data, you can get one with unlimited for £12.

Perhaps the competition (here's looking at you Apple) will follow suit.
The_Rev
Soooo, anybody with a Nexus 5 want to post some photos they have taken with it? I'd like to see the dodgy camera.

darrenm
Taken in not great indoor light with HDR+ turned on. The same photo but snapseeded So far it seems excellent and I haven't had any long focus times or other complained about issues other than that you need to remember to hold it still for a second when taking an HDR+ photo. You can easily forget and just snap then pull the phone away before it's finished. I expect some outdoor photos with HDR+ in good light will look spectacular. Some poorly lit photos of something moving fast won't.
The_Rev
Nexus 5 arrived this morning! I make that just over 36 hours from order until delivery. Much better than last year's farce.
