sparey16
Wheres best to go after the game, no drinking before as will be in church, but after is fine. as Wedge posted yesterday, presume all local pubs closed? Is town the best bet then?

Is town the best bet then? Holte suite or your local.. would think there would be a booze ban on in city centre for a couple hours after the game at least mate... wedge
Wasn't the Adventures open before the 5-1 game? And if I remember rightly Villa fans were buying booze from the shops in Aston and Witton and drinking them on the streets...
Undesirable
I can't imagine that the police will force all the pubs in Aston to close. We were drinking in Aston before the away game and i'm sure the pubs have been open in the past. If they close the pubs all that will happen is that we'll be drinking on the streets which is potentially a far bigger threat to the peace than if we're drinking in the pubs. Liono
I went to Briar Rose Weatherspoons in Birmingham City Centre before the last SHA Home game, they wouldn't serve any booze.

wedge
I love watching 40 odd coaches chock full of inbred troglodyte scum trundle past at the Matalan island. Coaches for a game 3 miles away... Scared much?
sellyoakvilla
It's not even 3 miles is it? they are charging them £11 for the coach you know !!!
Hiney
We were drinking in a weatherspoons in Birmingham city centre before the away match so i'd imagine some of them will be open
Undesirable
If you're looking for a booze in the city centre before the game may i suggest Cafe Rouge in the Mailbox, the combination of early morning beer and the sight of bemused coffee drinkers as you sing "shit on the city" is a priceless one. wedge
Lol at the above post... Will those shops in Aston (Grosvenor Road?) be open before the game as there is an off-licence that sells cheap booze.
SouthBirminghamVilla
I am sure pubs in Aston will be open. No need to worry.
Mammoth10
I am sure pubs in Aston will be open. No need to worry. They will indeed as they were for the last couple of home and away games vs this lot. One thing I would say though is that police are advising that the pubs are ticket only (not necessarily paid for) so they can restrict who goes in. This is definately the case for the Manor Tavern....
Hanky
Will they shut off some of Witton Lane again?
IrishCockney
Saw a poster on the door of O'Reilly's on Weds after the game that said "This pub will be closed all day on Sunday 25th - by order of the police" got a feeling the other boozers round the ground will be the same.
