I got mine from o2 and it was activated within minutes.

Re-do the Itunes thing if you can and then phone o2. (2302 from handset if you have an o2 phone nearby)

I did wonder if it was becasue it was on a business tariff and my wife wanted to port her number over, we did give them the PAC code on Friday though.

If its not on latter I will have to give o2 a call.

There was quite a few people in the o2 shop on Friday all getting Iphones so obviously there isnt enough new stuff on the 3GS for people to pay the extra for.

I'm certainly in that camp. Yes it looks awesome and yes it's much better... but is it £200 better? When I give them £45 a month I don't really expect to have to pay a further £200 for their new phone only 6 months later.

My contract with Orange expires on 13th November this year. I can't remember how the billing works is it a month in arrears? When would I be okay to cancel my contract with Orange and move to o2 without them being arsey about it?

Just looked on Youtube for some 3.0 reviews, just to see what people think and found this guy and feckin hell, he scares the shit out of me!!! Or is it just me? Something weird about him.

And Noah, ask to cancel in October or they will just keep it as a rolling contract and then apply with o2 at the beginning of November.

Update was available from 6.10.

Not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere yet but make sure the SIM PIN lock is off before you update otherwise the phone gets stuck in a loop when trying to activate.

Que? explain please

I have SIM lock on, i.e pin code for the sim card on phone boot.

I ran the update, all went fine until it requested the pin code. I put the code in and then it was stuck awaiting connection to itunes with the screen slider stating slide for emergency calls.

I turned the phone off and restarted, exactly the same. Removed the phone from the dock/connector, rebooted it, put the pin code in and it requested connection to itunes to activate. Connected it to the dock and got stuck in the same cycle.

So, I took the sim out, put it in my missus phone, removed the pin code request, rebooted the phone and it started without the pin code request. Put the sim back into my iphone, connected up to itunes when requested and hey presto it activated.
