Demitri_C
dont think united will play their full strength team inn final so them. i think city have better squad depth and can call upon big players ina final while united dont have the same strength in depth
Tubby
Red as they are having real problems this season yet would still be a more satisfying scalp.
ED
Now we've ended the man yoo hoodoo, I want them. Couldn't face seeing Barry lift the cup, not worth the risk imo
ED
I'll decide when we're there, because we're far from it. Far from it? Damn, here I was thinking we had an aggregate lead and an away goal against a poor lower table side with just a game at VP between us and the final  You're not MON, no need for the dignified cliches :winkold:
Pelle
IF we get there I want us to play against manure. As many have said before I think they will put out some reserves going more for the league. mancity will probably want it more in the final. And I don't think manure wants them to go there. And I'd hate the risk to see Barry lift the cup. Then again, I'd definitely leave the place before he did should city win the whole thing.
Adbo9
strange one, if we can guarantee winning id take Man City - with Dunne to score the winner and Barry to miss a penalty.............. but if we were to lose, id rather lose to man u !! is that weird
Phumfeinz
It's just written in the stars that Barry and Dunne will face their former teams in the final.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Mhmm It'll be Man City IMO. Rather play United though, as I can see them playing a weaker team as the final will be in the middle of a congested period for them (I think)
Coleshill_Villa24
To be honest, Man Utd could be the hardest test, but I do not want to see Barry in our faces. Dont want to be a kiljoy, but we can not do anything about it so whoever we face........that's it......we just need to get on with it.......... Ryan.
Manure - they're more likely to play a weakend team, and I wouldn't want to risk seeing Barry lift the cup infront of us. It's no good saying "I'd rather play X as long as we win"
Salsa Party Animal
Who is the team captain of Man City now. Since they sold their decent defender to erm us I want Aston Villa to humilate Gareth Barry and win the cup with a Dunne hat trick.
paddy
Manyoo. Hopefully they'd put out their reserves. We've beat their full team away anyway so you'd put us in with a good chance I reckon. Also if we didn't win I'd hate to see City winning.
Pete3206
Couldn't give a flying wotsit. Let's just get there first.
dalyvilla
If we get there and win, I want it to be against Man City just to rub Barry's face in it a little, if we get there and lose I'd much rather lose to Utd. i'd agree with that
A.V.F.C
Easy question, City and Barry.
beasley14
I think we`ve more chance of beating Utd. It would be Citys biggest game for 3 decades or something daft like that, they would be more up for it. Its just the small cup to Man Utd.
David-Copenhagen
Anyone else think we've got more chance of beating Utd? Me. Given the hoodoo's over now, the players would be quite looking forward to playing them now as they've struggled against defensive organised teams this season. Plus the Carling cup final is usually around champions league games so Fergie would have a mixture of kids and fringe players playing i'd imagine. Would not want to play City tbh. Robinho, Tevez, Adebayor, all can win a game on their own if they fancy the occasion. And Barry lifting the trophy infront of us, no thanks. Could not really decide before I started reading the posts. Initially Trents post made a lot of sense, but reading this made my mind up. + we don't want City to win anything - one more trophy for Fergie makes little difference. David-Copenhagen
Easy question, City and Barry. Would it not be better if Barry never reached a final?
DiegoD
Would it not be better if Barry never reached a final? I think the look on his face and he loses to his former club would be worth him getting to a final... plus i'm sure Dunne would enjoy it to
Stockport_Villain
If we are lucky enough to get to the final my preference would be for the red side. Our record against Citee is almost as bad as that against Manure. The fact the Manure are on the waine from their recent position of invincability and Citeee are on the up I'd fancy our chances are greater against UTD at the moment.
