Popular Post Xela Posted Wednesday at 20:09 Popular Post Share Posted Wednesday at 20:09 Feeling a bit melancholy today as I found out an old mate died yesterday after being moved to end of life care a few days previous. Died of organ failure. Late 50's. Was just a decent fella, part of a group of us 20 years back who used to go out drinking a lot. Must have been out with him pretty much every Friday night for 3 or 4 years in the early 00s, and a lot of Saturday daytime drinking in the years after that. Went to Amsterdam, Krakow, Berlin, Prague and Lisbon with him and others in our group. Some great memories. He settled down with his partner around 13 years back, while a core group of us started to do more long distance holidays to Asia, but we always kept in contact. Had an email exchange with him a few months back, he was excited as they had moved to the Norfolk Coast and was loving his new life.
