Ever been in a Glasgow boozer that was accessed via a wicket gate in a closed shopfront sized roller shutter - that roller shutter painted with a skull and crossbones and the letters I.R.A. ?

On the tables in the lounge there was what looked like menus, but they were the hotel's own 'rough guide' to Glasgow for the guests.

It recommended that non drinkers maybe shouldn't mention that they're teetotal to the locals as it might cause distrust.

A mantra I also employ. I'm always deeply suspicious of non drinkers. Unless they are reformed alcoholics, and don't advertise the fact.

people who have opinions I trust say scotland is ace and the people are the friendliest in the uk, I find this hard to believe. I blame celtic & rangers supporters for this view.

Fixed.

Joking aside, I like Scotland. In my festival going days, T in the Park always had the best atmosphere, and the friendliest people. Even when I (without thinking about it), walked through the campsite with a box of cans of beer advertising their support for the England football team. I was wearing a Teenage Fan Club T-shirt though, so I probably got cut some slack for that.

I agree with the fix, my opinion is based on those supporters. I once spent 2 days in aberdeen with work and it was fairly pleasant but that is it. I think we are potentially having a week in the highlands in october.

I have an Xbox selling on ebay in an auction. It's due to end very soon. Last bid I saw yesterday was £100. Now Ebay is down :(

Where would I stand with this? If it sells for £100 'cos no one has been able to bid on it due to the site being down, do I have to honor it?

Whenever I'm entering text on my phone if I go to type anything like 'you', 'poo', 'oh' or 'pot' etc, my phone immediately predicts I'm going to type 'POV'. Pops up about 3 times every text.

I've no idea why..
