CI
Temperatures set to hit 27c next week in UK. Unprecedented for early October. This will be a complete mind f**k for the wildlife
mjmooney Posted September 24, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted September 24, 2011 I've seen hardly any wasps at all this year. Probably less spiders than usual too. Not that it makes much difference, as they don't bother me, seeing as I'M NOT A BIG BABY GIRL.

Wainy316
Wasps hurt you, spider don't. Therefore wasps are much much worse.
mjmooney Posted September 25, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2011 Wasps hurt you, spider don't. Therefore wasps are much much worse. And TBH, even wasps don't hurt you much (unless you have an allergy or it involves a massive swarm). I first got stung by a wasp when I was five in the school playground, and realised it was no big deal after that. Bee stings are slightly more of a nuisance as they tend to leave the sting in and you need to tweezer it out, but again, it's hardly a major trauma. I'd feel differently in tropical areas, where insects can be truly dangerous, but Britain? Meh.

Stevo985 Posted September 26, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted September 26, 2011 I got kicked in the calf on Friday playing football. Didn't think anything of it. It hurt a bit but just felt like a dead leg so I played on, and then went out that night. When I woke up on Saturday my leg was swollen, quite badly. Since then it hasn't gone down, and this morning it was Red and quite warm to the touch. Should i be worried? I'm considering visiting A&E tonight just to put my mind at rest
mjmooney Posted September 26, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted September 26, 2011 That's most certainly AIDS, Stevo. You'll be dead by the end of the week.
Stevo985 Posted September 26, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted September 26, 2011 I already have Super AIDs, so nothing to worry about.
packoman
Anyone know if it's better to lift heavier weights and do fewer reps or lighter weights and do more reps in terms of building muscle?
wiggyrichard
Heavier weights, few reps, 3 sets of 8, build muscle. Lighter weights, more reps, 3 sets of 20, tone muscle.

TheDon
Anyone know if it's better to lift heavier weights and do fewer reps or lighter weights and do more reps in terms of building muscle? Depends how you define building muscle. Strength = 5 reps, mass = 8 reps.

GarethRDR
A gastric band. I prefer pretentious pseudo-intellectual math-rock, but I'll listen to anything once.
maqroll
Some word removed let his dog take a dump on my lawn, and I stepped in it while I was mowing the grass. I f I ever catch the guy allowing that to happen, I'm gonna knock him down, and take a dump of my own on his face.
