Happy birthday @sidcow, you silly shed loser! Sometimes you miss these things and they become so pervasive you just have to go along with it. I hear that some bloke called Gresford and another guy call Scuba Steve meet up in Sidcow's shed and DHUTWU.

Basically Sidcow built a shed purely for the purpose of hiding in it from his family and furiously wanking over cushion porn

villaajax
Anyone else miss lockdown life? I was certainly less unhappy.

I think it really depends on how happy you were going into it. Staying at home enjoying the walks, clean air, slower pace of life, especially if you lived in a happy home environment. I get it. But for lots of people it was the worst period of our lives. I went into it at a shit time, and basically spent a year socially isolated and cultivating a serious substance misuse problem just to pass the time. Living on my own, at the end of a break up, with legislation banning me from seeing friends and family, feeling guilty for going out for a second walk in a day. Honestly, there were nights I sat at home after the uplifting **** quiz with nothing to do but drink and think about ordering rope. Tiger King was alright, I guess. All worked out alright in the end but it's a miracle I made it through that in one piece.

villaajax
I guess for me it felt like life was on hold. That I wasn't wasting my life, because it was on hold. With life being back to normal, life moves fast, I can't get my head around the fact I'll be 34 this year, I still feel like I'm in my 20s but no, I'm 34 and have nothing to show for my life. Absolutely nothing. I miss the pause. Edited January 22 by villaajax
VILLAMARV
34's no age, really, as someone fast approaching their 50's I'd say you have at least a couple of olympics left in you.

If you haven't figured out what it is yet, then nothings on hold, you're just going with the flow. If you aren't doing it, then make a path of easy to accomplish steps, but you're responsible for building that path, nothing gets done without it. Xela
I both enjoyed and hated lockdown at various times. Initially it was a novelty, which I loved. As an introvert, I wasn't fussed about things closing. It gave me time to review a few things like my finances/pension, and makes some positive changes. The weather was good, work was steady and I was at home full time. Seemed the perfect storm! When the pubs started to open, I used to meet up with mates at the local after work. However as time went on I started to drink more at home, I lost touch a bit with mates when the second/third full lockdowns happened and kind of retreated into my shell a bit. I was getting more distant from people. So, had some good times, and not so good. All seems a blur now though!
Paddywhack
I realised yesterday, when filling up my car, I don’t know what petrol looks like. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. If there was containers of varying liquids in front of me, I wouldn’t be able to pick it out from looks alone. I could just google it now, but I like the mystery. I am not in the habit of keeping petrol around the house in clear containers so I dont think I have seen it either, my guess is it looks like cider, probably tastes like it too if you are desperate enough. It’s clear-ish with a slight purple/blue tint. I only know from my petrol mower container

Just light a match near each container. I'm sure you'll be able to identify it then.....briefly anyway..

Petrol doesn't burn. You/d have to let it evaporate a bit before you try.
