Davkaus
11 years in prison for enabling people to view football streams. It's organised crime, that they made a lot of money from, and they knew what they were doing, but 11 years? You'll find no end of rapists being given far, far more lenient sentences. But don't you dare cost some billionaires some cash https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65697595 Quote Five men who illegally streamed Premier League football matches to tens of thousands of people have been jailed. The gang sold cut-price £10-a-month subscriptions, bragging they made money showing games not otherwise available to watch live in the UK because of "blackout" broadcasting rules. Their operation, described as the biggest so far, received more than £7m from 50,000 subscribers. The sentencing follows a rare private prosecution by the Premier League. The fraud prosecution was brought to protect "some of the world's most valuable content", the league's lawyers said. At Derby Crown Court, the gang's "prime mover", Mark Gould, 36, was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Four other members were sentenced to between three and more than five years.

I'm surprised at the sentences though.

Guest av1
11yrs, wow. As Limpid said above, the PL need to defend their product, and at the end of the day the guys have broken law, but that sentence seems absurd. I have unsuccessfully tried to find out a bit more about the below as it’s not quite clear what Christopher Felvus got for having indecent images of children, or if indeed he’s been sentenced for that yet? Be interesting to see if they have taken a dimmer view on a bloke selling footie streams than they have with a flipping nonce. BBC Four other members were sentenced to between three and more than five years. One of them, Christopher Felvus, 36, was also found guilty of voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children, discovered on his computer. That's almost as much as murder in some cases, and definitely much more that serious assault or rape. Should have been a 12 day suspended sentence to bring it in line with violent crimes. StefanAVFC Posted May 31, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted May 31, 2023 If it's 11 years for that, I wonder how long 100+ charges of financial fraud are according to the PL

Give them a couple years and a hit them with a fine (they have enough money) When you consider some paedos get less its pathetic and infuriating The way i look at this if 1) you could have access to 3pm games on a affordable option 2) sky/ virgin make their products more affordable for people not just rip people off for their extortionate fees. I know there will be the argument the money goes to the football pyramid so thats where the real issue arises with footballerS wages etc. But surely there are better ways? Why don't the government make IPTV taxable? We get cheaper football and the government makes money out of it
