Follyfoot Posted May 25, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted May 25, 2023 Took my youngest to the local farm shop to pick up some fresh strawberries yesterday and I nearly ran over a peacock. My lad was obsessed with the bird as he had never seen one live before and will not shut up about it. I would love him to see one with its full plumage showing Does anyone know how to achieve this or do you just have to wait

Hey presto, nature in all it's majesty.

sharkyvilla
My cousin's daughter is being christened on Sunday, I can't go but have no idea what you're supposed to do, send a card to the baby or the parents, or both? I can't believe I've got to this age and not been to or weaseled my way out of a christening.

Bit off topic, but Argos is better than Amazon these days, IMO. Nowhere near the range, but you're almost guaranteed to get what you pay for at Argos, whereas Amazon is now basically Aliexpress with next day delivery. Millions of listings for the same no-brand Chinese fake brands, and counterfeit western brands, it's gone from being being where I buy 90% of my stuff to just being an absolute last resort. I'd not have believed 5 years ago that I'd be back to buying from the big UK retailers (though preferring an online specialist where there is one). Same with Ebay, it's just terrible looking for stuff on there now, no bargains anymore, prioritised retailers, awful site, an don't even mention there charges.
