AVFC-Prideofbrum
My mate has now seen the pics and tells me that's not even the girl i was talking to in the club (i may have been too drunk to notice). So confused. Good memory that. Then again, when she sent you the pictures, I doubt your first thought was concentrating on her face.

YLN
Off to Bristol tomorrow for an exam on Friday to determine whether or not I'll be a medicine student next September. For the 7 hour exam, I have Berocca Boost, ginseng pastilles, Cod liver oil, caffeine tablets, lucozade sport and a B vitamin tonic to be taken at various points during the day. I've two calculators in case one runs out and about 20 pencils and 5 erasers. On the upside, once the exam is over, I am taking the year off to play computer games, socialise and learn the rest of the sweet child of mine solo. Going to see the Bolton match on Saturday aswell. Gerard give us a wave and all that.

I still occasionally have a nightmare that I've turned up at school/University and everybody is handing in a piece of work I knew nothing about. AVFC-Prideofbrum
Looking at Uni courses, what does BA (hons) mean.....in simple terms. Not that I've chose a course yet or anything but just a few courses have that written next to it and wanted to know any difference between that and one's without? Chindie Posted September 16, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted September 16, 2010 Bachelor of Arts (Honours). The Honours simply means it's technically harder IIRC, you're required to do more to gain the degree, taking more modules etc.

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Ahh okay, thanks both. Don't laugh but this is what I think I want to do. http://www.solent.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/football_studies_ba/course_details11.aspx I know it sounds a little stupid but there is nothing else I want to do and I'd rather put all my time and effort into that and work stupidly hard to get a career in that sort of industry to take off. At least then, aged 25/26 and it's not working out, I can get a job and at least say I gave it a go. I think I'd do okay though if I put the work in. Hmmmm. CarewsEyebrowDesigner
If you are going to Uni you should only do a good degree, and good degrees (roughly) accept 300pts and higher. There really is no point going, getting in shag loads of debt, only to do a degree that will be looked down upon, or won't enhance your prospects, when you get into the job market. Even these good degrees lead to **** all in todays market. Don't just go to Uni for the sake of going to Uni, if you aren't doing a worthwhile degree then there is no point. If you want to work in football then get your coaching badges and start from the bottom and get experience within the game. Otherwise you are best off spending your energy elsewhere. Stevo985 Posted September 16, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted September 16, 2010 On my course you did 120 credits of modules a year. To get the degree you had to pass 100 out of those 120 credits (there are some modules which you HAVE to pass, called core modules, but excluding them you needed 100 out of 120 credits) So 1 module would be worth, say, 20 credits, and if you passed it (i.e. even if you only got 40% it's still a pass) you got all 20 credits. To get an Hons degree you had to pass all 120 credits.
