mjmooney Posted February 16, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 16, 2018 Quote The Mayor of Casterbridge (1886), subtitled "The Life and Death of a Man of Character", is a novel by British author Thomas Hardy. It is set in the fictional town of Casterbridge (based on the town of Dorchester in Dorset). The book is one of Hardy's Wessex novels, all set in a fictional rural England. Plot summary At a country fair near Casterbridge, Wessex, a young hay-trusser named Michael Henchard gets drunk on rum-laced furmity and argues with his wife, Susan. He decides to auction off his wife and baby daughter, Elizabeth-Jane, to a sailor, Mr. Newson, for five guineas. Sober the next day, he is too late to recover his family. When he realises that his wife and daughter are gone, he swears not to touch liquor again for as many years as he has lived so far. Wiki

All you all shook up @chrisp65? yay! First ever physical experience of an earthquake I was up a ladder and it sort of shifted an inch at the same time as it sounded like a bump outside and the windows kind of creaked. Mrs p65 was leaning against the wall and said it was like someone nudged her. Maybe 4.4 according to Brit Geological Society. I expect Oxfam will be here within the week offering me money for sex. update due to PC H&S gone mad: My nipper is in Swansea Uni earning a tenner helping out on an open day and they've been evacuated in case there are after shocks. VILLAMARV
That makes MrsVM feel much better knowing that. She felt it and wondered what the guy upstairs had done to shake the house But yeah, we got a wobble and the lights went funny. 3rd one for me. 1st one was centred in Carno i think. That was when I was in school 80's/90's. The 'great Dudley quake' was the best one even over the border. That made all my doors rattle. Today was more like what was that? Probably being pissed off at the glass ceiling and the complete lack of "Britishness". More or less the same feeling I've been having since the post MON days. Football to me has always been intertwined with the difference in cultures between leagues. Now it's basically the same soup everywhere in the top leagues. I can't get into it anymore apart from my Villa DNA. I want Smiths, Fergusons, Browns, MacDonalds, Kellys and the like. I'm very much turning towards the "Old farts brigade", it use to be better. African, German, Italian, Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish names in the lineup does very little for me unless they are the outlier, like the old maximum of three we had in the early 90s. If I wanted to watch those players I'd watched their leagues. Anyway, mumble mumble....

I just seen that this is a national problem not just my local KFC! The amount the idiots have lost now has ruined any profits they would have saved going with DHL. Everyone knows how crap DHL are. Serves them right.

So he should. Look at the excellent savings he delivered shareholders. These are just teething problems, in the long term shareholders will get much very value. Or other such shit. In the absence of any meaningful facts, you've decided that it's the fault of a "bigwig" and that said "bigwig" should be financially punished? Wow.
