Stevo985 Posted May 1, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted May 1, 2017 I think it's cool, although I'd agree the font doesn't quite work, particularly on the word "cures" for me. But yeah nice idea. It's the kind of thing that sells in places like Paperchase. Doubt she'd make a fortune but as a hobby it's not bad. She should try wedding stationery and stuff like that. Ginko
Came joint-first in a Rick and Morty-themed pub quiz last night. Lost on a tie-breaker but meh, we had fun. Never seen so many people for one of these themed quizzes. If a bomb went off I think half of all Reddit would have been wiped out.

I can safely say I would have scored a big fat zero.
Ginko
I prefer general knowledge quizzes on the whole though I'm significantly worse at them. My general knowledge isn't too bad but there's a gulf between myself and proper serious quizzers. There are a few things I could specialise in though, namely certain tv programs and movies. Rick and Morty is one of them. I was in my nerdy element. Edited May 3, 2017 by Ginko

She asked me to get an 'opinion from a stranger' as obviously I'm biased and her friends are biased. She wants to do it as a hobby as she enjoys it, then try and make a bit of money on the side with small things. Thanks It took me a while to figure out what it says. The "cures" bit especially. It looks quite nice though. @Designer1 is probably the man to ask.

I saw some lovely designed tea towels when I went to Skegness last year. I wonder if it was him who designed them.

My speciality would definitely be geography though.

Try and watch the first series first. It'll take an episode or 2 to 'get' the humour and obviously the first episodes introduce you to everything properly. Chindie Posted May 3, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted May 3, 2017 The second episode is a better intro to the show than the pilot. It's also hilarious.

maqroll
Gruesome story out of Boston yesterday- An engaged couple of doctors were killed in their high rise apartment by someone known to them, according to police. They had their hands bound, but at some point the male was able to text a friend that they were being held at gunpoint and to call 911. The friend called 911 and when police showed up at the door, the suspect started shooting at them. They returned fire and he's in the hospital. The couple had their throats slit and had been "mutilated" and there was blood on the walls. "A message of retribution" was at the scene, and they found torn up pictures of the couple. Yikes. Meath_Villan
Not sure if anyone has overcome a fear or phobia, but im doing an adventure race in september and one part of the course is to run up a mountain 751m and check in at the top, the only thing is I am shit scared of heights like I have been to the top of the empire state and held the inner rail, went to the top of the 7* burj and stayed in the elevator ...... its a strange one though as the bit that gets me is the edge ....I went up two mountains so far but stop short of the top one was 480m and another 580m the legs go weak and even though im in no danger the fear of falling sets in .....no hassle getting down .......Im doing the race its already mentally finished in my book ......but how the **** am I getting up to the top of it ???
