Hopefully one day people will look back on programs like QI in absolute amazement that cancer took so many lives. It seems a million miles away at the moment but lets not forget that things as easily treated as stomach ulcers were once the kiss of death. Cheers matey. Wainy316
I don't want a baby or a child. I want a toddler for a bit that overnight turns into an older teenager/adult. There is no point in human beings between the age of 5-15. They add nothing to any situation.

Popular Post lapal_fan
I'll fly the flag for being a parent. It's the best, most entertaining job in the world. There's a bit of hard work involved, little people are monkeys and don't know what they are and aren't allowed to do, so everything they can do or try, they will. But the reward in watching them grow and change and become affectionate for you then the people you love is the most incredible feeling. I well up like a little nerd sometimes when my dad takes my little'un down the garden to do simple things like touch some leaves or put his hand in some water. His reactions when he looks at you are akin to "WOW, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS AMAZING STUFF?!" Everything is just pure wonderment, and it's infectious and I absolutely adore being a parent. I've always wanted kids though, so I can't imagine not wanting to become a parent eventually, that's quite an odd viewpoint and I think it would be interesting to know why you don't want to become parents. Is it a perceived "loss of freedom"? Or financial restraints? Or other?
Stevo985 Posted March 22, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted March 22, 2016 Kids are a pain in the arse. A massive pain in the arse. I won't think that about my own kids when I eventually have them. But **** me, they're so annoying.

Designer1 Posted March 22, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted March 22, 2016 I can understand some people not wanting to have kids. I have a few mates who value their own independence and wealth above all else and they seem happy enough so it obviously works for them. Personally, kids are something the wife and I always wanted pretty much from day one and I genuinely cannot imagine what my life would be like without them.

If your annoyance is over the use of the word "little man" ... then I agree 100%
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
For me it isn't a case of freedom, nor is a case of money. I just don't fancy it. It doesn't appeal to me. I don't think it is an 'odd' viewpoint in this day and age.

The **** off was aimed at the thought of me arranging my life around a child, not the person who has to do it. The time will come when I will do it, but at the moment the idea doesn't appeal to me one bit.
