colleh
Poll for the goalkeeper if you haven't voted on it... Only 3 months until the end of the year. Time to pick a best of the 00's Villa XI... I've come up with a list of whom I believe to be the main candidates. (The person you pick should ideally be somebody who excelled post 2000, rather than excelled previously and crossed over into post 2000) So who was our best right back from 2000 to now?? Poll will run for a week.
paulanddonya
Thats an easier one. Come back next year and it could be Young, but for now, only one winner - Delaney. I honestly think if it wasn't for his injury - he would have gone to Man U for a lot of money. In 2001 he was the best RB in the league. His injury was testiment to the bloke - he put his career on the line to save a goal. Loved him, and would have loved for him to stay on at the club
colleh
Yea, Delaney should walk away with this, with 100% of the vote. Only him and Young on this list were good players at right back and Young ain't been here long enough. Delaney's slide tackling was awesome. kurtsimonw
Delaney. Probably the most under-rated player this decade as well.
dont_do_it_doug.
Delaney. I think Young has been equal in his short stay, but so far it is a very short stay. Delaney was consistently solid over a number of years.
Oaks
Delaney. Probably the most under-rated player this decade as well. And was stupidly cheep,
Oaks
I mean 4 of them were awful full backs.
dont_do_it_doug.
I mean 4 of them were awful full backs. Watson awful? A bit harsh, he was OK. I don't recall Stone ever playing right back either, but it was a long time ago.

AndyClarke
Another easy one, Delaney comfortably the winner with Luke Young being a solid understudy.
