Tomaszk
He's better than all of our CM options so yes I'd have the player back.
VillanWA
NO time to move on. Him leaving will open up different options to us. This could be the best thing to happen to this team.
kkr
NO, Barry wants to play foir City to secure a place in the world cup squad after being the only player to feature in every one of his games, as a villa player, that to me speaks volumes, he is a grade a cash chasing whore, a big fat barry NO
Ads
Delph has all the attributes Barry does not have. In two years time, Delph will be of such quality that Barry will be a distant memory. A bold statement perhaps, but this kid is so exciting and his potential is limitless.
kingphil
I've voted NO, purely as he has turned his back on us, so I have on him. I guess the real answer will be made this season when we see if the team has picked up without him, or crashed and burnt
Morley_crosses_to_Withe
I'd take him back right now considering we still haven't **** replaced him. Young ---Barry---Petrov---Milner vs Downing ---- Ash Young-----Milner(Albrighton) NRC(Delph)-----Petrov I like the options we have now much more. We could have played that last season with NRC & Petrov sitting behind Young, Barry and Milner. We're going to go a large part of the season without Downing, and Delph has never played in the PL (compared to Barry who had hundreds of appearances). No matter how you dress it up we still haven't replaced him.
David-Copenhagen
No, in a strange way I think we will be better without him. But for Laursen - NOW that is another matter.
billy_loes
No but not for the idiotic 'jadas' reasons. We have now a player who is possibly already better and will undoubtedly be better than barry in Delph.
Ads
I’m glad you’re as excited about him as I am. He appears to have everything and I really, honestly and genuinely think that the kid will be total class.
ChrisVillan
No I **** wouldn't.
irishvilla1874
No - defo not - he lied to the fans about his reason for leaving, case closed!
VillaGoMarching
no, he's a word removed. Just like Dwight Yorke IMO.
sparey16
No, i don't agree with players returning to a club regardless, same with JPA, Mellberg, Vassell etc etc.
Ads
No, I would have taken Yorkie back a couple of months after he left. You can’t quibble over world class players like Yorke.
WhenSaturdayComes
no, he's a word removed. Just like Dwight Yorke IMO. Not like Dwight Yorke at all. Yorkie wanted to go and play at a higher level with the best club in Europe, Barry decided to better his bank account with a mid table team :winkold:
mjmooney Posted August 13, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted August 13, 2009 Look. Be sensible. We have security at VP, right? And the security guys have guard dogs? Guard dogs HAVE to have a supply of dog food. Of COURSE I'd have him back.
alienvillan
Yes! But I have faith in this: Milner ------ Reo-Coker --- Petrov ----- A Young Albrighton - Sidwell -------- Delph ----- Downing Gardner --- Osbourne ----- Salifou ---- Bannan
El_Hierro
He's better than all of our CM options so yes I'd have the player back. Yet Petrov was voted player of the season, and Delph has the potential to be ten times the player Barry is.
Neil
No way, honeslty man he was pretty shit for villa in the last season and should have been dropped on countless occasions. Whilst he was here Mon made him undroppable in his mind, despite having some shockers. His heart was firmly set away from Villa after the liverpool transfer saga and I'm just glad we managed somehow to get good money for him. The only way he would come back would be tail between legs or even more money than city is paying him, neither terms sit with me.
