The combination of disturbing and actually being a good movie is rarely done. But this nails it

Well, you might actually. I did! But not because it wasn’t a good film I can’t remember the last time I was genuinely scared by a horror movie. I actually considered turning this off at one point because I was finding the tension unbearable

Designer1 Posted January 7 VT Supporter Share Posted January 7 Finally managed to book tickets to see Poor Things next week. Feels like the UK release has taken forever. Lanthimos is one of the most unique contemporary director's for me and I've loved all his work so far. Colour me excited.
Pongo Waring
Society of the Snow (Netflix) Fantastic film which did this story true justice. Edge of your seat stuff. Watched in original Latin language with subs for authenticity.
Pongo Waring
Finally got round to watching Killers of the Flower Moon, 100% concentration needed movie. I liked the story very much. Defiantly didn't need to be 3 hours and 20 minutes long. It didn't fly by, but I much preferred this to the long Oppenheimer. If you like old western movies you would like this. Also enjoyed it but it is too long. However Oppenheimer is far better.

Took me ages to get round to watching Killing of a Sacred Deer and it was absolutely **** brilliant. High hopes for this one. i don't get to the actual cinema very much anymore but might make an exception for this
Stevo985 Posted January 8 VT Supporter Share Posted January 8 Set myself a target to watch at least 100 movies this year. I only managed 67 last year, that's what having a kid does to you. Already up to 5 Saltburn Train to Busan Do the Right Thing When Evil Lurks Toy Story 4 All been watched so far this month. Trying to stick to at least one new (ish) release and one old release from my watchlist every week Society of the Snow will probably be next
