Have you seen them and are they worth a watch? 2 is OK and 3 is not good at all, and you don't need to have watched them to enjoy the first one and Origins (the first one especially is one of the best FF movies I've seen). At a push, 2 might be worth your time as it ties in a little more to Origins as the Abbadon Hotel is referenced a fair amount. 3 was pony though Edited November 12, 2023 by Designer1

OutByEaster? Posted November 13, 2023 Moderator Share Posted November 13, 2023 I've not seen The Killer, but from the comments on here it sounds like a peculiar hybrid of The House That Jack Built and Killing Eve.

Chindie Posted November 16, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Napoleon reviews all over the shop. Indicative of it being a chopped up extended cut I wonder. Edited November 16, 2023 by Chindie

sne
The Creator was a visually stunning good-ish movie. Nice enough sci-fi story with the all too familiar "reluctant, downbeat male hero escorting a sassy/rebellious chosen kid to safety". Story was nothing special but it looked great and I quite liked it. It clearly borrows (steals?) a lot from the artworks of Simon Stålenhag which I absolutely love so apart from him not getting paid for it (I assume) I'm all for it. Seriously, go check out Simon Stålenhag if you like the visuals and art style in this movie.
theunderstudy
Watching Casino Royale - one of my favourite Bond films with one of the best themes and opening credits Side note, my dad got hold of a copy of this just after visiting China and as this was the last Bond film I didn't see in the cinema we thought it was a dodgy copy entirely in black and white and stopped watching 2 minutes in first time around

theboyangel
Renfield was exactly what I hoped, campy, gory and over the top. Great fun.
OutByEaster? Posted November 19, 2023 Moderator Share Posted November 19, 2023 I watched Renfield today - thought it was awful - the script, the performances, the production - just dreadful. 1

PieFacE Posted November 20, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted November 20, 2023 Finally got round to seeing Oppenheimer. Very well made, interesting story but wouldn't watch again. Was nice to see a Nolan film where he isn't lost up his own asshole (looking at you, Tenet).
