I'm not sure Cage has ever been in a film I've wanted to watch more than once, and the vast majority are **** shite. His name attached is an indicator of a film to avoid and has been for at least a couple of decades. I enjoyed Kick-Ass, although Cage was, true to form, the worse thing in it. Add Joe, Bad Lieutenant and Adaptation to the list too. **edit** Forgot Bringing Out The Dead too. A less known Scorsese movie. villa4europe
In to the spider verse Kick ass is overrated but still good, bad lieutenant is OK, leaving Las Vegas, matchstick men He had a run of cheesy ones in the 90s that I was the right age for, I loved con air but then also liked snake eyes, gone in 60 seconds

As well as @sne recommended films, I’d chuck in Leaving Las Vegas, Joe, Bad Lieutenant and have guilty pleasure places for The Rock and Face/Off

Rodders
Saw Bond tonight. My wife was a bit underwhelmed but I really enjoyed it. Think it might be the strongest of the Craig films. That Casino Royale and Skyfall are a league ahead of the two turds.
ismail-villa
Watched venom last night. Solid 5-6/10. Same as the first, just felt it all went by very quickly. Spoiler That post credit scene though... Literally did not expect it!!! Was the best thing from the whole movie.

Stevo985 Posted October 20, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted October 20, 2021 I don't really understand people saying No Time To Die is "slower" than the other Craig Bond movies. Did you not see Spectre? One of the slowest and dullest films I've seen. Right up there with TInker Tailor Soldier Spy in the award for "nothing **** happens"
TheAuthority Posted October 20, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted October 20, 2021 Nicholas Cage is Francis Ford Copolla's nephew so obviously his way into the business was purely on his, ahem, talent Bumped into him in a restaurant in New York - literally. He was coked and strung out. Looked like he'd been on a 3 day bender.
Phil Silvers
The Trip (I onde dager) 2021 Aksel Hennie and Noomi Rapace, both in one place, it's ace, the less you know the better. Norwegian comedy horror, really enjoyed it.
Phil Silvers
Titane 2021 French madness at its best, Julia Ducournau has some imagination, a female Gaspar Noe maybe. Again, the less you know, outstanding all in performance from the lead, the rest of the cast too. Mad. useless
I watched National Treasure a while back, I don't think it's considered a great movie but I enjoyed it.
maqroll
Just read a 5 star review of Dune and now I'm really excited to see it. I need some proper escapism.
