villa4europe
Yeah, iirc I watched filth, trance and welcome to the punch in the space of 2 days and I can't actually remember which was which or if they were any good, I think all of them were solid if unspectacular
sheepyvillian
Enjoyed " Hell or High Water " . Who does it better than Jeff Bridges ? Pauline Kael once said out of all the actors she had seen ,he seemed the least self _ conscious of them all . Talent without ego .isn't that a rare thing ? Also liked Ben Fosters performance , who ,in my opinion,is a fine actor ,first came across him in 3 :10 to Yuma ,and he more than held his own with Bale and Crowe . tarjei
Watched 50/50 tonight (netflix) One of those movies that I missed when I was out traveling. Maybe not the best movie ever made, it was real to me.. Sometimes you happen to watch movies at just the right time in your life and by the end of it you feel like something inside of you has shifted a bit and life is somehow slightly different. The way I see it, we already knew Bridges could act. I came away more impressed that Pine could hold his own in that company.

Besson is very hit and miss so hard to draw much from that but the world seems great. Besson is one of the most hit and miss of all time. His films are either great or totally bobbins. Xela
Valerian does look great. Arrival seems to be getting good reviews.
villa4europe
Yeah arrivals had some good 8 and 9 /10 reviews and Amy Adams getting Oscar talk watched dr strange, really enjoyed it, the training bit maybe went too fast and yes it suffered from a throw away villain and a villain who didn't look particularly great on screen but it worked for me, great cast, it was the best film I've ever watched in IMAX that's for sure
mikeyp102
Watched Dr Strange. Decent film. Liked the shots similar to Inception. Good story, if maybe a weak ending. Worth a watch

V01
Watched Hell and High Water earlier, really liked it. Loved the sass people were giving each other Spoiler You know I'm part Mexican too I'll get to that Spoiler You fellas robbin' the bank? What's it look like, old man? But you ain't Mexicans. Took me a while to realise but the chubby waitress is the fit one who got her tits out in Eastbound and Down.
Rodders
Enjoyed The Kingsman again last night, introducing it to the other half. Both of us still don't care for that one scene near the very end - she absolutely hated it - which was a shame as she'd loved the rest of the film. Xela
Jason Bourne You won't find a bigger fan of the original trilogy than me. Great films. This however, was a bit meh. Its ok, but lacked the wow factor and seemed to have been made just for the sake of it. 6/
Chindie Posted November 13, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted November 13, 2016 I'm sure anime fans will tear this to shreds, but given my exposure to Ghost in the Shell is a demo of the PS1 game (which seems to have less than nothing to do with what is in this trailer) about 20 years ago, all I can say is it looks pretty and Scarlett can do little wrong in my eyes.
BOF Posted November 13, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 13, 2016 Looks like a visual garbled mess that wouldn't interest me in the slightest.
Chindie Posted November 13, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted November 13, 2016 Might be more accurate to the anime than I thought then... *trollface*
