Watched 71 today. Another great Jack O'Connell performance and the tension in the film was maintained throught. Reminded me how little I actually know of those days. Had a documentary feel about, and certainly kept any political comment to a minimum, shades of grey etc across both sides.

Yes very good film and another outstanding perfomance by O'Connell. I remember the tensions around that time in Northern Ireland and the pub bombings in Birmingham and Guildford.

Eye In The Sky  - great political thriller - a legal and ethical debate about rules of engagement and drone attacks. Riveting and with the great sir alan rickman in his final role. Terrific.

Watching this later!

Watched Monster. Really enjoyed that.  Theron is superb in it and Ricci is very good too. I recommend this one if you've not already seen it. 8/10 WPBA

My movie of the year so far (have only seen a dozen or so, but this is number one).

Have you checked out Good Kill? Also about the use of military drones (with Ethan Hawke) and pretty decent.

Saw it at the cinema and really enjoyed it. The only thing I was disappointed with was how small Aaron Paul's role was.

I secretly like them i don't know why

I find the first Resident Evil movie watchable. The others, not so much.

Anyone watched the Brent film yet?

Yeah saw it on Friday. If you are an office fan it's worth watching, there's loads of lol moments but some of it is so cringe it's painful at times.

Overall I think the story justifies the film and gives it a reason to exist.

I personally thought it was better than the hurt locker which won the Oscar that year

edit: the best picture was hurt locker, an education nominated alongside up, up in the air, avatar, blind side, district 9, inglorious basterds, precious and a serious man

what a horrible year for best picture...gran Torino still didn't get a sniff
