tonyh29
Big Hero 6 today with the kids ... they ranked it better than Wall-e and just below UP ( my daughter even suggested it was better than frozen !! ) baymax is just a great character , some great laugh out loud bits and I think the adults around me enjoyed it as much as the kids did
PaulC
The Colditz Story (1955) I never tire of watching this film. As far as i am concerned it is up there with the all time great war films ever made Did you ever watch the tv series?
PaulC
Paris,Texas. Turned out to be a good film. If you like Jim Jarmusch's early flicks, you might enjoy it, got a similar feel. Yep one of my all time fav films
PaulC
finally got round to watching dallas buyers club, was good. Yes what an outstanding performance by Matthew McConauhey.
PaulC
Cinderella man is the best for me just for Paul Giamatti. Yes I like the film but a little but over melodramatic. I also thought The Fighter was good and Christian Bale was excellent in it.

sonic_bouma
Eddie Redmayne is superb as Stephen Hawking. Lovely film aswell. Privileged background or not he comes across as a very down to earth guy also. I'm definitely #teamredmayne for the oscars.
sonic_bouma
Oh and I was very surprised to see Frank Laboeuf playing a doctor in the film!
Chindie Posted February 1, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted February 1, 2015 I also watched the Theory of Everything last night. Its not bad by any means but didn't grab me at all. Not that impressed by Redmayne either in truth. I much prefer the Imitation Game.
villa4europe
I thought redmayne was better than cumberbatch but imitation game is a better film Anyway, back from kingsman, absolutely loved it, the mix of humour and action was spot on IMO I can even forgive the daft bit near the end, hopefully the start of a franchise
coda
Watched a great film, La jaula de oro, about a group of teenagers fleeing Guatemalan poverty for the promised land of the USA. Not exactly cheerful but a gritty, powerful tale.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Herzog season on Film4. I've recorded 'The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser' and 'Nosferatu'. 'Heart of Glass' is on tonight and I'll record that. Then I'm going to binge on Werner over the weekend.
Rodders
Enigma of Kasper Hauser is outstanding. The other film with Bruno S - Stroszek is also well worth watching. Heart of Glass was a bit baffling for me, I'll be honest though. Nosferatu as yet unseen. Shall check it out.
