choffer Posted January 18, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted January 18, 2015 Just in case I forgot to post this when I first watched it: A sentient tyre rolls around the Californian desert using telekinetic powers to make people's heads explode. Utterly barmy but still great.

pooligan
Casino Royale (2006) I like to watch a Bond film from time to time, they are worth seeing for the stunning women usually in them alone!I had never seen Casino Royale but had read some good reviews about it.I was not disappointed ,it is one of the best Bond movies i have seen and i have seen most if not all of them.I enjoyed it so much, its a 8/10 for me. KHV
On the weekend I watched Fury with Brad Pitt and The Judge with Robert Downey Jr, though both films were quite good. Made the mistake of watching Tusk last night, very odd film indeed. I wasny expecting Jonny Depp to turn up it half way through either, its a piss poor film though. TOTTI-THE-GOD
Finally saw Wolf of Wall Street the other day , no way can that be based on a true story but seriously class film , the scene when the police arrest him and ask if he'd been driving his car made me laugh out loud . Saw Big Hero 6 as well , good film very enjoyable for a big kid like myself

dAVe80
I saw Chopper last night for the first time. Great stuff. Eric Bana was excellent. Have you got the DVD? There's some great footage of the real Chopper, on his farm in Tasmania.
JMilnereatsnails
Saw Lucy over the weekend, interesting enough, bit daft but enjoyable. Solid 7/10 Got around to watching Locke. Was disappointed. As someone mentioned Hardy's accent gets in the way and I couldn't quite connect with his ordeal. 4/
Popular Post CardiffGreens
As inconceivable as it would seem, I had never seen The Princess Bride until the weekend. Thankfully I have now rectified that and spent 90 minutes laughing my way through that epic of high adventure. Utterly marvelous, I spent most of yesterday evening watching clips on youtube rather than give the Everton / West Brom game the full attention it deserved. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off for a battle of wits. To the death.

hogso
Just read that IT is being made in to 2 movies - the first kids half of the story, the second the adults. It's being directed and co-written by the guy behind True Detective. Will keep my ear close to the ground for more info, a proper good adaptation could be wonderful, even if (especially if?) they nuke the ending.

It plagued the book and even though the original TV movie wasn't great, the ending just made things worse. It'll be very interesting to see who they get in to play Pennywise. The shadow cast by Tim Curry in that role will be mightily hard to escape from.
