CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Haven't seen Red Shoes, but both Black Narcissus & A Matter of Life and Death are brilliant. Peeping Tom is by Michael Powell alone and it is a masterpiece.
Designer1 Posted December 19, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 19, 2014 Love Peeping Tom. It's a travesty what it did to Powell's career.
turnbull
Watched The Grinch for the 15th Christmas running last night. It's kind of a tradition in our house.

NoelVilla
His best movie is Pulp Fiction. Any differing opinions are just plain wrong. As long as we agree that Pulp Fiction is crap and his others are even more crap. Except Reservoir Dogs, which is actually a watchable Tarantino movie.
NoelVilla
and before I leave this thread and go hide under my bed…I think I would need a gun to my head forcing me to watch Hobbit or else it will not happen. Peter Jackson are worse than Tarantino.

Peter Jackson are worse than Tarantino. If you don't like LOTR films, watch some of Jackson's pre middle earth stuff, a couple of really good films there. Yep, Bad Taste, Braindead and Heavenly Creatures are all great, but I especially love Meet the Feebles which is basically the Muppets on acid. KAZZAM
Saw Hobbit 3 give it a 7/10,Alfred and Dain's characters was really annoying and lots of bad cgi made it an average film.
maqroll
Nope, Jackie Brown is the best. I'd rate that second to Basterds
maqroll
My problem with Tarantino is that most of his films are loaded with all kinds of gratuitous filler. Basterds was a much tighter film than his others. Edited December 21, 2014 by maqroll

tonyh29
You have to look at resovouir dogs for what it was and thus it makes it a masterpiece Arguably he became a victim of his success and thus it became easier to criticise his films than to appreciate them as is always the case when you are a bit out there Of his films kill bill was the one i couldn't get on with , tried too hard for its own good imo but It stands up to repeat viewing and I always thinks that's a good test for a film
8pints
One of my favourite things Tarantino has done is the fight scene in Predators but even that is thought of as ripping off a part of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
theboyangel
Watched Bad Neighbours last night, not expecting to laugh as much. Yes it was typically juvenile and 'All-American' but there were some very funny moments.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
An underrated Christmas classic! Pfeiffer is absolutely batshit insane in this film. Well, everyone is. That's why it is great.
