leemond2008
The Hobbit appears to be a good 3 hour film, stretched into 9 hours of mediocrity. The good bits are still there, but you don't half have to wait around for them. The barrel scene was truly terrible, I despised that scene and that alone forced me to despise all of the hobbit films
Jon
Not sure if anyone's seen Boxtrolls? Good movie, and not just for kids. Very dark, Victorian edge to it. 8/10 /pooligan
ender4
I've still only ever seen 5 films older than 1980. Star Wars, Alien, Some like it Hot, 2001 Space Odyssey & Wizard of OZ.

ender4
Ok, i thought it seemed very low. 9 films seen before 1980 - Star Wars (77) , Alien (79), Some like it Hot (59), 2001 Space Odyssey (68), Wizard of Oz (39), Rocky (76), The Exorcist (73), Jungle Book (67), Grease (78). Though that still only makes 5 films seen before 1976 - Some like it Hot (59), 2001 Space Odyssey (68), Wizard of Oz (39), The Exorcist (73), Jungle Book (67). I've gone through the IMDB top 250 and can't see any others before 1976. Edited September 30, 2014 by ender4
