Wainy316
Bond. Meh. This. The Elvis Presley of movies. That is a spot on analogy.

choffer Posted September 15, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 15, 2014 Desperately hoping it doesn't disappoint. Guess I'll find out in a few weeks: Finally got round to this one after missing it's somewhat limited theatrical release. Couldn't be further from what I was expecting as I'd deliberately steered away from finding out too much about it ahead of time. Was really unsure about it for the most part as I just couldn't quite see where it was going but it was worth sticking with it for the payoff. No masterpiece by any means but an ultimately rewarding film.

dAVe80
Watched Man of Steel the other day. Was all right, but not amazing. Struggled with Nelson Van Alden as General Zod too.

maqroll
I liked Hollywoodland. Solid flick. Dead Man is a fantastic, weird, moving film. Edited September 19, 2014 by maqroll
maqroll
I watched All is Lost. Good movie. The weakest parts were the two times he actually spoke.

PieFacE Posted September 16, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 16, 2014 Does anyone go to the cinema on their own? I'm going to watch ^ on my own tonight and feel a bit weird for doing it. Not really sure why, it's not as if you can have a conversation with someone in there, but it does feel a bit "wrong" still....
lapal_fan
I watch Filo-meen-a (LOL) the other day. Decent film, shame Judy Dench or Steven Coogan didn't get their tits out. On that basis, I give it 9.5/10.
