Stevo985 Posted September 14, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 14, 2014 For video game movies, does Wreck-It Ralph count? It did have a lot of characters in. Such as "Zangief, Bad guy"no it doesn't count. But if it did it would be a country mile ahead of the rest. Great film
8pints
For video game movies, does Wreck-It Ralph count? It did have a lot of characters in. Such as "Zangief, Bad guy" An original story starring videogame characters, none of who were main characters? Nope, doesn't count. It just took elements of videogames, it's not based on an actual game. no it doesn't count. But if it did it would be a country mile ahead of the rest. Great film I think it should count. villaajax
No. Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie is the best video game film and that's all there is to it.
Rob182
The game 'Jackie Chap Stuntmaster' was pretty fun on the Playstation. Also, The Lion King game was great on the Megadrive, and Aladdin. My vote for best game of a film, is The Lion King! Chan* not Chap!
Ginko
Skyfall is on Netflix. Best bond film. Ever. Pfft, it's a Bond film only in name. Casino Royale (2006) is my personal favourite, followed closely by Goldeneye.
PieFacE Posted September 14, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 14, 2014 Watched Edge of Tomorrow. Thought it was a decent 7/10 film. Bit stupid where... The girl talks about how she lost the power to reset the day when she dies, well surely the only way she would have known that was is if she killed herself? rjw63
Oh and also watched "Out Of The Furnace". Grim and depressing but enjoyable. Woody Harrelson makes a very believable villain

Ginko
Skyfall smashes them two out of the park! Its like comparing the Dark Knight with Batman & Robin and Batman forever Ha, what a load of arse gravy Skyfall is not a Bond film in the traditional sense. It started off promisingly enough, then made the main villain gay for no reason at all other than for a gimmick before descending into Home Alone. Ginko
Oh, and Judi Dench was essentially the Bond girl for that movie. That hot Asian woman was not exactly a fleshed out character. I can't even remember her name. And what the hell was that Komodo Dragon bit about? Rubbish CGI and a daft scene. The world was never in any danger, only M... ...and he went through all that and she still died right at the end anyway! And her death was rubbish! She got shot and bled out, lasting just long enough for Bond to come and 'save' her. If you're going to kill her off, the least they could have done was have the bad guy do it in style and then for him and Bond to have an awesome showdown. But noooo. Oh and the cringing nods to the anniversary. I love the DB5, it's one of my favourite cars, but the whole ejector seat thing... urgh. I mean, it made no sense anyway since that technology looked so dated, yet Craig's Bond only gained 00 status in recent times. It was just shoehorned in for the sake of it and really took me out of the story. The reason I loved the Casino Royale remake was because it was a bit darker, grittier and more realistic. Quantum of Solace wasn't so bad but the plot was just a bit dull and I didn't think much to the villain. Skyfall just brought the camp silliness back too much for my liking. B94villa
Bond. Meh. When I lived with my cousin me and her fella made a drunken and ill-advised pact to watch all the Bond films in order before Skyfall came out "so we understood the plot". We ground the lot out in about a fortnight and it was a totally draining experience. To make it more (yes, more) entertaining we made notes on all of them listing pros and cons (mainly cons) and rated them on subjects like racism, sexism, plot holes and ridiculousness. One of my favourites was Live and Let Die being marked down for it's "confusing drug lab/alligator farm business model" and "depicting New Orleans as a den of voodoo ju-ju". Good times.
