The thing that makes the result and performance so good, was just how good Bayern looked in terms of quality.

That first 10-15 minutes was quite harrowing. They looked amazing, and their press all night was relentless. It was like they had an extra man when we had the ball at the back. Never anybody to pass to

 

But Emery's genius meant we soaked it up and used our strengths brilliantly. You could tell Upamencano was getting targeted early and we should have been rewarded with a red card. And then Duran's goal came directly from coaching him to shoot early and catch Neuer off his line

The sheer tenacity and audacity was mind blowing.....The crowd was off the charts, too.

BM are the potent force of Europe with their goal scoring exploits, to silence them to a clean sheet is staggering.

PS To put Gary Shaw on the team sheet on the Programme, was also sheer class to me.

That defending just blew me away.

I am never more happy to be wrong, when those boys proved me wrong...It was master class of defending.

Clean sheet, against them? Noooooooooooooooooooooooo?

Such mental and physical strength, to deny them......Bravo Boys.

I can't tell you how proud, I was with that defending.

I said before the game, to my friends around my seat.....clean Sheet and we win this.

But of course, we all laughed as to how difficult that would be against the powerhouse of Europe.

They score for fun.

I never in my wildest dreams thought we could defend like that........I am blown away.

Big shout out to Diego....for his commitment in all of this, He showed he can do it.

I struggled to name MOTM, they all deserved it.

The real hero is the one, who walked away from the stands in a fit of pique, at Craven Cottage.....and was intent on signing one of the best managers in World Football....and he did.

The fans singing the "CHAMPIONS" part of the Champions League theme song should be turned into a damn ringtone or something, un frickin believable.

 

The parts i saw of the game really highlighted what a good team Munich are, all the stats suggest they were the better team, but if you don't put your chances away the stats don't stand for Sh*t.
