Everything went down our right side.

That is probably the worst I've seen Konsa play. Slow, out of position, poor decision making, I blame him for both goals tbh.

Ref was a joke but that's standard in the Prem now.

2 points dropped because if we played at 50% instead of 30% we'd have won.

Ezri Konsa will be very disappointed. At fault completely for both goals. Anyone pointing to Carlos just doesn't like him.

The problem is he is playing right back so finding himself further up the pitch and out of position on counter attacks

Well played Ipswich who battled and were more dangerous moving forward. Villa were shit. Loose passing, sloppy touches, poor decision making, dreadful defensive display from Carlos again, but Konsa as well. Occasional flashes of good play in the first half, nowhere near good enough today. We are going to get tonked by Bayern if we put in another shift like that.

Philogene was such a pointless signing.

100% agree on this one. He's brought nothing to the team since he returned. Kinda carried on from where he left off.

We had another whole transfer window to resolve the fact that Cash gets injured for large periods every season (and isn't consistent when he is fit), Carlos is mostly terrible alongside (and in general) Pau and Konsa doesn't have the pace or positional ability to get back quickly enough when playing out of position at right back.

How many goals to do we need to concede every game before we do something about this?

Carlos almost pipped to the post as worse player by Philogene's utterly inept cameo, removing the one bit of threat we had on the flanks with Bailey.

I want to give Unai some blame today.

However on second thought, as frustrating as it is, I feel he has an eye on Bayern so took his players off.

A fine balancing act, a shite one when you don't necessarily have the quality in depth where you need it.

Shocking performance compounded by possibly one of the worst refereeing displays you’ll ever see.

Should have been playing against 10 men for the last 35 minutes and he then had the opportunity 15 minutes later to correct his mistake when Morsy made yet another stonewall yellow card assault, they go and immediately score following this let off. They were even gifted a corner at the end with the ball not going out which it felt fated would go in, thankfully not.

From a footballing perspective can’t complain with the draw, we were absolute toilet. Didn’t realise Ipswich were such a bunch of thugs either, wouldn’t be sad to see them straight back down,

Meh.

Worried Bailey is regressing this season.

Ah well, we go again.

Bailey has always been at his best against teams when we play on the counter and he has space to run into.

He has never been good against teams who defend deep.

Awful defending

I hope never see Carlos in a Villa shirt again, but I know that's not gonna happen until Cash is back and Konsa can go back in the middle

Ref bottled giving that word removed a red!

Play like that vs Bayern and it's a thumping.

Spectacularly ordinary players have the game of their life against Villa. Add Liam Delap to Marlon Harewood, Patrick Bamford and many others.

Kicked all over the park which is apparently OK, Atwell an absolute embarrassment. As usual we make it very hard for ourselves by defending like clowns and never really got going in forward areas.

Morsy should have been off before the obvious red, he could conceivably have had 4 yellows and a red all in one afternoon and nobody could have complained. Allowing someone to run amok like that in the middle of the park is game changing and defining. We seem to fail to get the protection the big boys get and it hurts out style.

Thank god not much post match analysis - they can now switch to their beloved Man U v Spurs. However they did say Ipswich were lucky to have 11 men at end

Disgraceful attitude

And Emery has to take responsibility

Playing the same XI is doing nothing but making us complacement

Onana has been shit, yet walks into the starting line up no matter what

The CB/RB issue still remains

who else would we play as a defensive midfielder though? There's been some really poor management in the summer to leave us with only one defensive midfielder and no senior right back when we spent 38 mil on a left back we didn't need and 15? mil on Philogene who is so far off the quality we need

Second half very poor. I blame Konsa for their second goal. Simple ball to philogene he plays the tougher one and then he's out of position. But we deserved nothing. They were the better team and wanted it more

Poor performances generally aside from Watkins. Errors from Martinez, Carlos and Konsa cost us 3 points today.

To be fair to Emi, two top class saves sparred us from defeat.

Sorry but Carlos is just not good enough for we want to be, wreckless and poor positionally, complete oposite of what we need.

Philogene is also not ready for this level.

Ipswich deserved that point, but a lot of it was due to our in game handling. Im fine with resting in game when ahead, but to doing it away from home with a 1 goal lead is madness.

Took our eye off the ball here.

Phillogene at the very end there. The last of a conveyor belt of attacks where the attitude seems to be to do anything, absolutely anything but whatever you do, do NOT try and put the ball across the box.

Twist and turn again, put your foot on the ball, lay it off backwards, but under no circumstances cross, even if you've worked the opening.

And yet Ollie and Duran have been nodding in crosses for fun on the rare occasions they arrive.

We had 7 shots, they had 15. They’re going to be battling relegation.

Simply not good enough and I’m very concerned how bad we look most weeks. We need to improve by a considerable amount just to finish top 6 let alone anything more.
