andycappa Posted 9 hours ago Share Posted 9 hours ago Started following Villa in the old 3rd divison my 1st game was a 1 1 draw with Swindon town in around 1971/2. 9 year olds could go on their own back then, I stood on the witton end back then, right at the front with my face looking through the low rail right behind the goal, I remember the refreshment trays that people walked around the pitch with selling drinks, crisps, chocolate and the dreaded Bovril, I am now 62 years old and love Villa park and going to games as much now as I did then, seen all the bad time and occasionally the good times, would I swap any of it,,, NEVER, i now live in North London and have my season ticket in the 1888 trinity road stand, the future sure looks bright, brighter than it has since the hey days of the 80s, oh Ron Saunders and his 110% team, 42 games 14 players used, never see that again, 14 is average for one game now. , Link to comment
