That was diabolical, at times inexplicably bad, made them look like world beaters, a team that has only won one of the last fifteen, and had lost six of the last seven before today. We had the look of  a team that on some level thought the game was already won. As bad as we were, we're lucky to be only 1-0 down, but whether we can turn it around, even to rescue a point, I don't know, will need a massive improvement

Ok, for who?

Many options. Buendia. Bailey (if fit). Duran (play two strikers). Play Maatsen in midfield and shuffle around some other positions.

Don't burn out your young players. Never works.

Bailey and Maatsen coming on. Stripped at half time.

Digne off, he's in the warmup and has his sandals on.

absolute hyperbolic nonsense. They have an xg of 0.5. Hardly world beaters.

We were poor and they were alright. Thats it.

👍 Maybe also Tielemans can play up there again, occasionally, when Bouba returns.

psychology.  that's what's missing.  When dominantly successful clubs play they approach every match with 100% focus and energy.  AVFC does not appear to do that.  Too lackadasical mentally.   It's our next big obstacle.

Annoying but Wolves were always going to be up for this. We seem to do the opposite for the derbies. Confident that we'll be much better this half and that we'll score. Just hope we can get two and keep a clean sheet this half too.

This is why I love this manager. He sees the signs and knows when it's not working.

Agree, but this time was extremely obvious that we were dogshit and needed changing.
