There's recency bias, the age of the person choosing, common sense picks such as "top scorer and top appearance maker must be automatic picks based on logic"... There's greats that I know were great with/because of this club, yet the preceed my age/support. If I've not seen Dennis Mortimer, Sid Cowans etc play then how could I possibly rate them better than Gareth Barry, Douglas Luiz, or arguably Lee Hendrie? Benteke was unplayable at times, but we had the best of him for 18-24 months. Is that enough? Same with Grealish really.
