Philogene starting is some call I didn't see coming in a million years, he wasn't great at Ipswich or any of his previous sub cameos in the prem.

Hope it's one of those Unai masterstrokes but not sure it's going to work against this level of opposition.

One other thing...looking at Bayern's instagram and appears we gave them permission to train at Bodymoor Heath this morning which is bizarre. Maybe it's a new UEFA rule as normally teams train at the stadium the night before but perhaps they flew in too late?

Unai seems to enjoy giving youngsters a proper baptism of fire every now and then...

Looking at Bayern's lineup, we've dealt with Kane and Olise before in the PL. It's the threat of Kimmich and Davies on the wings that has me worried. Konsa and Digne need to be at their best.

Davies is incredibly rapid, they have pace all over their pitch so if their press works as normal it's going to be a struggle to get out of our own half for long spells.

That said we had to defend like that for most of the Arsenal and Liverpool home games and still got four points from those two.

Philogene starting is a bold and possibly bad call.

That said he is meant to be strong defensively, and although Bailey got an assist, his all round game particularly without the ball was shocking at Ipswich - spent all game falling over at the slightest touch and zero attempt at covering his full back.
