Newcastle far more of a threat this season to us than Spurs or Man. United.

Back to playing once a week and they're a very hard to beat team. Rode their luck at 1-0 down but they're getting points from losing positions which wasn't really happening last season.

All the talk is off the field but they've still got real quality and some depth now and 10 points from 4 tricky game is pretty good going.

Top 4 race will be far stronger this season.

If we don't fix our defence we aren't finishing in the top 4

Most important thing is like last season we're getting wins on the board early. Even 5 points from the next three games and it will be 14 points from our first 7 so bang on the two points per game ratio.

I fully expect us to have a difficult run in November and early part of December as that's when fatigue will really hit but we do have the squad to rotate now in most areas compared to last season so think we'll see a few tweaks to the regular 11 v Wolves and Ipswich.

Barkley and Maatsen could start v Wolves for example and that will give us a more direction option in possession.

Newcastle were very luck today, Wolves should have the game won before they scored, and then it took two long range efforts for them to get their goals, one of which to add to their luck took a wicked deflection. Also Wolves have won just one of the last fourteen in the league and that was at home to Luton, they've won none of the seven, losing six of those, O'Neill going to be under pressure, so beating them isn't much of an indication of anything

You can only beat what's in front of you

Newcastle have the knack of staying in games and they never give up. Always gives them a chance.

They're also solid defensively. There's something called making your own luck.

They finished in the top 4 not long ago. Last season they struggled because of inuries and a lack of squad depth.

I expect them to perform similar to 2 years ago and it won't be by luck.

Didn’t watch the game today, but they’ve been pretty poor this season and yet picked up points.

10 from 4 games obviously fantastic, but not a representation of how they’re playing at all.

Winning when you play poorly is a good trait

Im still more worried about spurs than Newcastle. Newcastle’s performances have been far worse than their results suggest- they were outplayed by Southampton who were down to 10 men. And they will fade as they always do once Howe’s naive kick and run football triggers the inevitable set of muscle injuries by around December.

Spurs objectively have a better squad and are more unpredictable. Though they probably need to sack postecoglu before they can progress to being genuine top 4 quality

44 points from last 32 league games. Mid table.

Started last season like a scolded greased weasel, but after the opening 10 games they have been average.

shocking play at 3 down 😂

Too many copycat managers wanting to play out from the back with players that aren't able to do it. Play the tactics that suits the standard of player you have.
