Think he gave ROI fans false hope by sort of declaring and then changing his mind. He was already starting for West Ham in prem at that point and when you see the state of ROI's central midfield it was a huge loss. Grealish played for their youth sides but that's difference and don't think he ever accepted a call up for their senior side despite O'Neill wanting to pick him. He needed to get his career going with us. Then got his first England call up at 25.
