Best I’ve seen us play in a season opener for God knows how long. Brilliant stuff at times. Many chances wasted though.

Deserved the win. Questionable pen for West Ham which put us back a bit but some great subs and Duran getting some redemption in after the summer shenanigans. Onana had a great debut and our squad looks like we have some depth this season.

Cracking win, I didn't expect that after preseason. Our bench looked a LOT stronger compared to last season. Thought Onana looked solid and Maatsen already looks like the player he showed at Dortmund. 

It was inevitable Duran would score, but got to give him credit because it was a brilliant finish.

Excellent win. Played some really good football. Knocked back by the equaliser and even in the snow half but overall deserved the win

So good to see players come through, no big injuries, subs came on and played well too.

Duran scoring was great.

Fabulous win at a tough ground to go to where we haven’t had much success in recent seasons. 
 

Maatsen looked quality when he came on and Onana was immense. Ramsey looking back to his best. And what a finish by Duran who I’d be happy to see stay.

 

I’m used to seeing us lose the opening fixture so this is a great feeling. Bring on Arsenal.

We deserved that, we were the better side throughout - they created very little and other than the chance right at the death we would have kept a clean sheet barring their freebie.

We need to improve our finishing and get Watkins up to speed, but we look sharp and the subs looked strong.

Onana celebrating like a madman - I'm pretty sure he didn't win many away games with Everton

Really pleased with that. Honestly didn't think we'd win today. Onana MOTM even without the goal. 

That winning goal was Emery-ball at it's best from start to finish. Could tell some players were rusty thou so we'll get better once the likes of Watkins gets up to speed.
