It takes a truly special kind of mother to go to Ibiza the day before her 12 year old son is being sentenced for multiple instances of disorder during racially motivated riots.

Yes that's strange behaviour for a parent. Guess the holiday would have been booked well in advance and paid for and probably non refundable.

For 99% of mums it wouldn’t even be given a second thought to be with her son in court regardless of cost / losses.

He’d also be back at school this week most likely and she’s not here for that either.

What hope has this child got when his mom clearly doesn’t give a shit, and it seems like dad isn’t on the scene at all to take him to court.

It's a vicious circle innit. He'll probably bring his kids up exactly the same as he known no different. Tragic.

and people think the problem is people coming in to the country?

Oh god, definitely this. There is a hell of a lot of scum here, and most of the them were the ones rioting.

Longest sentence yet, for the Rotherham Hotel fire. 9 years inside plus 5 years on licence for arson with intent to endanger lives

It's almost 40 arson attacks in the last few years in Ireland on Asylum seekers accommodation and no prosecutions as of yet

High profile incitement on the day of riots is ok too.

I'd say there is a definite possibility of trouble/riots in Dublin tomorrow with an Irish English far right get together. All Garda leave cancelled so there will be plenty of policing presence but who knows what will happen.

Hopefully it won’t materialise but when the riots were happening recently I think there were some far right protesters from the Republic of Ireland who hooked up with protesters in Belfast, changed days.
Not so long ago the British far right were very antisemitic and anti-Irish (republicans/nationalists) but now they seem to be quite pro Israel and there have been moves from both sides to forge links between the English/British far right and their Irish counterparts. Not sure how far it will progress as I think there has been grumbling from people on both sides who don’t approve.

Yeah the fascists are one and the same now, proudly matched alongside the members of the loyalist death squad that indiscriminately murdered innocent Catholics in the Sean Graham bookmakers massacre of 1992. Also they love the likes of Tommy Robinson who proudly supports the Parachute regiment responsible for Bloody Sunday. Worth mentioning they get funding from the Tates in Romania too.

A big change in the country from 8 years ago when the fascists were ran off the streets when Pegida tried to launch here.

During COVID the far right mobilised and grew and now with the networks of propaganda and disinformation fully operational there are a lot of people gone down rabbit holes and won't be saved.

It's a bleak future.
