The tone from the Reform/racist side is very much "now you HAVE to listen to us", like they feel they've shown their strength and can demand people come to the table on their terms. The tone from the Government is very much "we're going to lock you all up, we're done with this shit". I think we've reached a point where the country can no longer afford to tolerate this violent mob of self serving weirdos - thirty or forty of them on long prison sentences should help clear up the relative strength of their position if they're struggling - and given how vindictive Mr Starmer is with those on his own side who don't toe the line, I'm pretty sure he's not going to go belly up on those from the other side who might threaten his ability to look statesmanlike.
