BOF Posted July 26 Moderator Share Posted July 26 Watched the Linford Christie documentary last night which got me in the Olympic mood. Actually going to try and enjoy this one as much as I can. I don't think I've watched an Olympics in 20 years.
sne
I have a bad feeling about this whole event that something bad will happen despite all the security. The opening ceremony and especially the mens Marathon feels like big risks.

Shit American Rugby with tea towels Handball but on a beach Volleyball but on a beach with skimpy outfits Ridiculous. Next thing you know they'll be trying to work out who can run fast! The Fun Factory
The Olympics needs to be slimmed down, there are far too many sports. I know that is daydreaming but the cost of hosting such an event is enormous now, with marginal gain for the host city. The Tokyo games cost 11 billion with nobody able to watch the events live due to covid. Sports in which players are willing to amputate fingers- keep in Sports in which players can't be bothered to play like Tennis and Golf- chuck out

Just you wait, this "sport" is on the rise and will no doubt be in the Olympics before long. But do they do Dressage as well I hear you asking. Yes they do. Yeah, nothing like London when they brought on the athletes. "FIJI!" (accompanied by the Bee Gees as the music of choice, classic). I still say London 2012 was the best opening ceremony of an Olympic games ever. This one is a bit weird so far.
