Glad Sunak held so he can’t swan off to California.  He can sit on the back benches, take in his mess and deal with menial constituency matters

I think they’ll feel slightly disappointed with that.

Suppose they'll have a platform to shout from but it's got to hurt their chances of forcing the tories to do anything.

Yeah, Farage, Tice, Anderson and one more. A handful of words removed.

That one more is former Southampton chairman Rupert Lowe.  An absolute bellend of a man.

Well yes, but that's a pre-requisite to be a Reform candidate.

So I think the Tories now have to win every remaining seat to hit the revised exit poll that they were all congratulating each other about two hours ago.

That BBC forecast has been all over the shop tonight

Some interesting analysis that Sir John Curtice ( the bloke who does all the polling stuff) makes on the BBC news website about the election results.

I cannot post the link, as I don't know how!

Proves that they are not electable even if you do agree with a lot of their ideas .

Not just the forecast. Interviewing one of the Greens' four MPs while the banner underneath his head insists that the Greens have only won three.

Maidenhead goes Lib Dem.

So that's the former seats of May, Cameron, Johnson and Thatcher all lost by the Tories tonight.

Loss of the Muslim vote the reason for Labour’s lower vote share?

In some places, yes. But also that the Labour strategy was not to try and increase vote share in their safe seats, but in seats they needed to win from Conservatives. Just like Lib Dem, they played the FPTP system and recognised the vote share doesn't matter here.

I don't think so.

I think it was

1. People didn't bother because the result was safe.

2. People voted tactically to get the Tories out.

3. People voted Reform as a protest vote against politicians in general.

And it’s ended up that The exit poll is looking pretty accurate after all with the exception of the Reform seats (thankfully)

That’s all they need. Not to mention the reassurance of the amount of votes they’ve had. Their 5 year revolt plan is well and truly underway.

Are they getting twenty of the last thirty seats?
